It is with great enthusiasm, that we would like to inform you that the Maritime Department of MarIT, the company developing CrewManager.Net (CM), has decided to join forces with the Norwegian based company Seagull AS. The two main reasons for this union are:

- "CrewManager.Net" and Seagull's core product, the "Seagull Training Administrator" (STA) already have many common elements and there is a natural link between the crew management in CrewManager.Net, and the training and competence management in the Seagull Training Administrator. This union will further strengthen both our products and open up opportunities for further integration in the future
- For several years Seagull has relied on MarIT to provide Seagull with research and development services, however recently it is felt, that for Seagull's long term future and stability, the Maritime Department of MarIT should join the Seagull Company.

The above decision means that Seagull has now acquired 20 new employees from Poland, who will directly serve us and our customers from their offices in Gdynia, Poland. Consequently, this also means that Seagull has established a new branch office in Poland.

A core product of Seagull has always been the Seagull Training Administrator, which was developed for tracking onboard and shore training activities of seafarers' world wide. This product was primarily developed by the team in Gdynia, which was one of the deciding factors for Seagull to acquire the development resources of MarIT.

All day-to-day operation for of CrewManager.Net will be directly with the new Seagull Company in Gdynia, and the contact persons are the same as before, for both product advising and support.

We trust that it is easy to realize the potential of this union and we would like to ensure that Seagull will continue to effectively serve the customers of both companies.
